Signal Trap

The signal drops between stations and the browser shows its offline game. While the player taps, a thin blue bar quietly reloads the page. The moment signal returns, the page swaps in with a cookie card whose only button sits under the player's thumb.

A tap under about 250 ms is faster than a person can see and react, so it was already on its way before the card appeared.
